Combining the benefits of altitude training while avoiding many of the pitfalls of traditional hypoxic training methods, Training Mask is a powerful tool for endurance athletes in many sporting disciplines - not just those undertaken at high altitude.
When injury forces you to focus on low-impact exercise during your recovery, Training Mask allows you to perform high intensity training at lower velocity/load and thus produce less stress on the musculoskeletal system. This is beneficial to an athlete who has suffered a musculoskeletal injury and is unable to apply higher amounts of stress during exercise which would normally be needed to generate high intensity cardiovascular training.

We suggest you wash your Training Mask regularly in order to maintain hygiene and longevity. In fact, it's a great idea to at least rinse it in fresh water after every use. Training Mask Oceania has received feedback from frequent users that simply hand washing your Training Mask with mildly soapy warm water is fast and effective. DO NOT machine wash or tumble dry your Training Mask or sleeve. The printed finish and neoprene core of sleeves may be damaged with machine washing. A gentle hand wash in mildly soapy warm water is sufficient, followed by hanging to drip dry in the shade.
Please note: Do not saturate or submerge the resistance valves unless you are able to safely disassemble them for drying afterwards. Please make sure the resistance valves are free from moisture before use.
Your Training Mask should sit against the chin bone at the bottom of the silicon component, and on the bridge of your nose at the top, no higher than your eye line. Refer to the diagram at right to determine the best fit for your facial structure.
Measure from the centreline of your face at your mouth to at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) past the outside corner of your mouth (you might want to ask a friend to assist you). The outer edge of the Training Mask should sit against your face at 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 3.8 cm) outside the corner of your mouth.

Training Mask DOES NOT alter the composition of the air you breathe. If it did, it would cost 1000s of dollars, weigh about 200Kgs, plug into the wall and make a humming sound. Training Mask makes your lungs work harder (breathing resistance), similar to the effect of 'thin' air at higher altitudes, and it does this anywhere you want to train (except underwater...) for a fraction of the cost of a full hypoxic system.
